A unified system for the standardization of registration criteria used by the 33 information centers with Federation of Credit Bureaus of Japan membership, JACIN, goes into operation. |

Public record information service system PRIS goes into service. |

National database unification system JACIN II goes into operation. Telephone number search system CRDB goes into service. |

A backup center is established. |

A new system, STARS, goes into operation. BL (business loan) services commenced. |

Information Security Management System certification is acquired. |

I-NET Corp. and TERA-NET Corp. are merged into Japan Information Center Corp. The name of the company is changed to TERA-NET Corp. |

The name of the company is changed to Japan Credit Information Reference Center Corp. (JICC) JICC inherits the credit information business of the 33 information centers with Federation of Credit Bureaus of Japan membership. |

STARS II goes into operation. A system compatible with the designated credit information bureau system pursuant to the Money Lending Business Act goes into service. |

JICC merges with CCB Inc. |

New STARS II goes into operation. A system compatible with the designated credit information bureau system pursuant to the amended Installment Sales Act goes into service. The STARS II and C-BASE databases are integrated. |

JICC is designated by the Japanese Prime Minister as a designated credit information bureau pursuant to the Money Lending Business Act. |
